Intake Session

We begin with an intake session and diagnostic interview.  We explore what presenting issues you bring up.  Then we work together to create a treatment plan that is transparent and makes sense to you.  If necessary, we will also provide recommendations for psychological, neurological, or educational testing; or consultation with other providers (such as a psychiatrist or dietician) to gather more information.  Feel free to bring any previous testing reports, educational information, or legal documents that you believe would be important for us to consider.  We believe that working in collaboration with your team in important (such as other providers, doctors, teachers, dietician, etc.) so we may ask you sign a consent for release of information so we may speak with them.  However, we understand and can consider any reasons you may refuse this request.  We will end the first session by discussing the parameters of treatment; often we recommend starting with once a week sessions.
